PhDs in L ogic is an annual graduate conference organised by local graduate students. This interdisciplinary c onference welcomes contributions to various topics in mathematical logic, philosophical logic, and l ogic in computer science. It involves tutorials by established researchers as well as short (20 minu tes) presentations by PhD students, master student s and first-year postdocs on their research. We ar e happy to announce that the ninth edition of PhDs in Logic will take place at the Ruhr University B ochum, Germany, during 2nd - 4th May 2017.
\n\nConfirmed tutorial speakers are: Petr Cintula (Czech Academy of Sciences), María Manzano (Unive rsity of Salamanca), João Marcos (Federal Universi ty of Rio Grande do Norte), Gabriella Pigozzi (Uni versity Paris-Dauphine), Christian Straßer (Ruhr-U niversity Bochum) and Heinrich Wansing (Ruhr-Unive rsity Bochum).
\nPhD students , master students and first-year postdocs in logic from disciplines, that include but are not limite d to philosophy, mathematics and computer science are invited to submit an extended abstract on thei r research. Submitted abstracts should be between 2 and 3 pages, including the relevant references. Each abstract will be anonymously reviewed by the scientific committee. Accepted abstracts will be p resented by their authors in a 20-minute presentat ion during the conference. The deadline for abstra ct submission is 2nd February 2017.
