SUMMARY:Twenty-sixth International Joint Conferenc
e on Artificial Intelligence (IJCAI-17), Melbourne
 , Australia
DTSTART;VALUE=DATE:20170819
DTEND;VALUE=DATE:20170825
LOCATION:Melbourne, Australia
DESCRIPTION:For nearly a half-century, IJCAI has r
emained the premier conference bringing together t
he international AI community in communicating the
advances and celebrating the achievements of arti
ficial intelligence research and practice. With th
e current explosive interest in AI and its applica
tions, this 26th edition of the conference is guar
anteed to provide an exciting forum to present and
hear about cutting-edge research in AI. A specia
l theme of IJCAI-17 is Autonomy. Recent developmen
ts in the adoption of artificial intelligence and
other technologies across many different areas of
endeavour have brought new challenges or have made
real those that until now had been largely abstra
ct and theoretical. In recognition of this trend,
and in support of addressing some of these challen
ges, this Special Track seeks to foster discussion
and debate around the issues brought forward by t
his new generation of technologies and application
 s. The scientific program of IJCAI 2017 will also
  contain Workshops, Tutorials, Demonstrations, Rob
otic Exhibitions, a Doctoral consortium, and will
host different software, video, and robotics compe
titions. The Program Committee invites the submis
sion of technical papers for the main technical tr
ack of the conference. Submissions are invited on
 significant, original, and previously unpublished
research on all aspects of artificial intelligence
. For the Special Track on Autonomy, we seek paper
s that address or consider the challenges across m
 ultiple different dimensions: Technical, Philosoph
ical, Legal, and Social. All papers will receive m
 indful and rigorous reviews.
