Previous shared tasks on coreference resolution have largel y focused on entity coreference. But this constitu tes only one of the many kinds of coreference rela tions that were discussed in theoretical and compu tational linguistics in the past few decades. In f act, by focusing on entity coreference resolution, NLP researchers have only scratched the surface o f the wealth of interesting problems in coreferenc e resolution. This workshop seeks to encourage wor k on under-investigated coreference resolution tas ks (as well as coreference resolution in under-inv estigated languages) and provide a forum for coref erence researchers to discuss and present such wor k.

The w orkshop welcomes submissions describing both theor etical and applied computational work on coreferen ce resolution, especially for languages other than English, less-researched forms of coreference and new applications of coreference resolution. The s ubmissions are expected to discuss theories, evalu ation, limitations, system development and techniq ues relevant to the workshop topics.
\n\nP apers that describe the creation and annotation of corpora, especially those with less-investigated coreference phenomena and those involving less-res earched languages, are particularly welcome. In ad dition, the program committee members will be aske d to give special attention to submissions that ec ho our special theme on knowledge-rich coreference resolution.
