DESCRIPTION:The Munich Center for Mathematical Phi
 losophy (MCMP) is organizing the fourth Summer Sch
 ool on Mathematical Philosophy for Female Students
 . Since women are significantly underrepresented i
 n philosophy generally and in formal philosophy in
  particular, this summer school is aimed at encour
 aging women to engage with mathematical methods an
 d apply them to philosophical problems.  This year
  the focus of the summer school will be to provide
  a framework for developing expertise in formal ap
 proaches used in (1) philosophy of language, (2) p
 hilosophy of logic, and (3) philosophy of mathemat
 ics. The summer school will offer the opportunity 
 for study in an informal setting, for lively debat
 e, and for the development of a network with stude
 nts and professors interested in the application o
 f formal methods in philosophy. Finally, being loc
 ated at the MCMP, the summer school will also prov
 ide a stimulating and interdisciplinary environmen
 t for meeting like-minded philosophers.  The deadl
 ine for applications is *March 5, 2017.
