DESCRIPTION:FG-2017 is the 22nd conference on Form
 al Grammar, to be held in conjunction with the Eur
 opean Summer School in Logic, Language and Informa
 tion, which in 2017 will take place in Toulouse, F
 rance.  FG provides a forum for the presentation o
 f new and original research on formal grammar, mat
 hematical linguistics and the application of forma
 l and mathematical methods to the study of natural
  language.  We invite electronic submissions of or
 iginal, 16-page papers (including references and p
 ossible technical appendices). Previous conference
 s in this series have welcomed papers from a wide 
 variety of frameworks. Papers should report origin
 al work which was not presented in other conferenc
 es. However, simultaneous submission is allowed, p
 rovided that the authors indicate other conference
 s to which the work was submitted in a footnote. N
 ote that accepted papers can only be presented in 
 one of the venues.
