SUMMARY:15th International Conference on Practical
Applications of Agents and multi-agents systems (
 PAAMS'17), Porto, Portugal
DTSTART;VALUE=DATE:20170621
DTEND;VALUE=DATE:20170623
LOCATION:Porto, Portugal
DESCRIPTION:Research on Agents and Multi-Agent Sys
tems has matured during the last decade and many e
ffective applications of this technology are now d
eployed. PAAMS intends to bring together researche
rs and developers from industry and the academic w
orld to report on the latest scientific and techni
cal advances on the application of multi-agent sys
tems, to discuss and debate the major issues, and
to showcase the latest systems using agent based t
echnology. It will promote a forum for discussion
on how agent-based techniques, methods, and tools
help system designers to accomplish the mapping be
tween available agent technology and application n
eeds. Other stakeholders should be rewarded with a
better understanding of the potential and challen
ges of the agent-oriented approach. PAAMS welcome
s the submission of application papers with prefer
ence to the topics listed in the call for papers.
In addition to the main track, PAAMS has Special
Sessions on Agent-Based Social Simulation, Modelli
ng and Big-Data Analytics (ABM), on Advances on De
mand Response and Renewable Energy Sources in Agen
t Based Smart Grids (ADRESS), on Agents and Mobile
Devices (AM), on COoperative GREEN agents for the
management of resources: towards sustainable syst
ems (Co-Green), on Multi-Agent Systems and Ambient
  Intelligence (MASAI), on Persuasive Technologies
(PT), on Computer vision in Multi-Agent Robotics (
RV) and on Web and Social Media Mining (WASMM). F
urthermore, PAAMS has a Special Track for Demonstr
ations, and a Doctoral Consortium where  students
can present their on going research work. Finally
, PAAMS includes Workshops on on Agents and multi-
agent Systems for AAL and e-HEALTH (A-HEALTH), on
Agent based Applications for Air Transport (AAAT),
on Agent-Based Artificial Markets Computational E
conomics (ABAM), on Artificial Intelligence for Pr
ivacy in Electronic Systems (AIPES), on Agent Meth
odologies for Intelligent Robotics (AMIRA), on Age
nts-based Solutions for Manufacturing and Supply C
hain (AMSC), on MAS for Complex Networks and Socia
l Computation (CNSC), on Computational Sustainabil
ity and Big Data (CoSBD), on Decision Making in Dy
namic Information Environments (DeMaDIE), on Empow
ering IoT with Agency and Cognition (EAC), on Inte
lligent Systems and Context Information Fusion (IS
CIF), on Multi-agent based Applications for Energy
Markets, Smart Grids and Sustainable Energy Syste
ms (MASGES), on Multiagent System Based Learning E
nvironments (MASLE), on Smart Cities and Intellige
nt Agents (SCIA) and on the application of agents
 to passenger transport (TAAPT).
