DESCRIPTION:HaPoC conferences aim to bring togethe
 r researchers exploring the various aspects of the
  computer from historical or philosophical standpo
 int. The series aims at an interdisciplinary focus
  on computing, rooted in historical and philosophi
 cal viewpoints. The conference brings together res
 earchers interested in the historical developments
  of computing, as well as those reflecting on the 
 sociological and philosophical issues springing fr
 om the rise and ubiquity of computing machines in 
 the contemporary landscape.  For HaPoC 2017 we wel
 come contributions from logicians, philosophers an
 d historians of computing as well as from philosop
 hically aware computer scientists and mathematicia
 ns. We also invite contributions on the use of com
 puters in art. As HaPoC conferences aim to provide
  a platform for interdisciplinary discussions amon
 g researchers, contributions stimulating such disc
 ussions are preferable.
