DESCRIPTION:The International Association for Comp
 uting and Philosophy promotes philosophical dialog
 ue and interdisciplinary research on all aspects o
 f the computational and informational turn. Coming
  to these issues from a rich variety of discipline
 s, IACAP's members have a tradition of helping to 
 shape philosophical and ethical debates about the 
 nature, development, application, and limits of co
 mputation, information technologies, and artificia
 l intelligence. IACAP's 2018 meeting will gather p
 hilosophers, ethicists, logicians, roboticists, co
 mputer scientists, and cognitive scientists to exp
 lore these topics. Keynote speakers include Ned Bl
 ock (NYU) and Ed Zalta (Stanford).  We invite subm
 issions of papers and proposals for symposia. Pape
 r submissions should be prepared for blind review,
  be between 3000 and 6000 words, and provide an ab
 stract of 150-250 words. Proposals for symposia (d
 eadline: January 15, 2018) should indicate: The ti
 tle of the proposed symposium; A description of th
 e topic; A list the participants; The number of ho
 urs required.
