DESCRIPTION:CiE 2018 is the fourteenth conference 
 organized by CiE (Computability in Europe), a Euro
 pean association of mathematicians, logicians, com
 puter scientists, philosophers, physicists and oth
 ers interested in new developments in computabilit
 y and their underlying significance for the real w
 orld.  The conference will feature Special Session
 s on Approximation and Optimisation, Bioinformatic
 s and Bio-inspired Computing, Computing with Imper
 fect Information, Continuous Computation, History 
 and Philosophy of Computing, and SAT-Solving. Tuto
 ral Speakers: Pinar Heggernes (Bergen, Norway) and
  Bakhadyr Khoussainov (Auckland, NZ). Invited Spea
 kers: Kousha Etessami (Edinburgh, UK), Johanna Fra
 nklin (Hempstead, US), Mai Gehrke (Paris, France),
  Alberto Marcone (Udine, Italy), Alexandra Silva (
 London, UK) and Jeffrey O. Shallit (Waterloo, Cana
 da).  The Programme Committee cordially invites al
 l researchers (European and non-European) to submi
 t their papers in all areas related to the confere
 nce for presentation at the conference and inclusi
 on in the proceedings.  Papers must be submitted i
 n PDF format, using the LNCS style and should have
  a maximum of 10 pages, including references but e
 xcluding a possible appendix in which one can incl
 ude proofs and other additional material. Papers b
 uilding bridges between different parts of the res
 earch community are particularly welcome.
