SUMMARY:12th International Workshop on Development
s in Computational Models (DCM 2018), Oxford, Engl
 and
DTSTART;VALUE=DATE:20180708
DTEND;VALUE=DATE:20180708
LOCATION:Oxford, England
DESCRIPTION:Several new models of computation have
emerged in the last years, and many developments
of traditional computation models have been propos
ed with the aim of taking into account the new dem
ands of users of computer systems and the new capa
bilities of computation engines. The aim of this
workshop is to bring together researchers who are
currently developing new computation models or new
features for traditional computation models, in o
rder to foster their interaction, to provide a for
um for presenting new ideas and work in progress,
and to enable newcomers to learn about current act
ivities in this area. DCM 2018 will take place in
Oxford on July 8, as a one-day satellite event of
FLoC 2018, associated to LICS'18. Authors are in
vited to submit a short paper (max 8 pages). Topic
s of interest include all abstract models of compu
tation and their applications to the development o
f programming languages and systems. After the wor
kshop authors are invited to submit a full paper t
aking into account the feedback given at their pre
sentation. After a second round of refereeing, acc
epted contributions will appear in an issue of Ele
ctronic Proceedings in Theoretical Computer Scienc
 e.
