SUMMARY:Second Women in Logic Workshop (WiL 2018)
 , Oxford, England
DTSTART;VALUE=DATE:20180708
DTEND;VALUE=DATE:20180708
LOCATION:Oxford, England
DESCRIPTION:Women are chronically underrepresented
in the LICS community; consequently they sometime
s feel both conspicuous and isolated, and hence th
ere is a risk that the under-representation is sel
f-perpetuating. The second Women in Logic Workshop
(WiL 2018), held as a LICS associated workshop, w
ill provide an opportunity for women in the field
to increase awareness of one another and one anoth
er's work, to combat the feeling of isolation. It
will also provide an environment where women can p
resent to an audience comprised of mostly women, r
eplicating the experience that most men have at mo
st LICS meetings, and lowering the stress of the o
ccasion; we hope that this will be particularly at
tractive to early-career women. Topics of interes
t of this workshop include but are not limited to
the usual Logic in Computer Science (LICS) topics.
Contributions should be written in English and ca
n be submitted in the form of full papers (with a
maximum of 10 pages), short papers (with a maximum
of 5 pages), or talk abstracts (1 page).
