SUMMARY:14th International Conference on Grammatic
al Inference (ICGI 2018), Wroclaw, Poland
DTSTART;VALUE=DATE:20180905
DTEND;VALUE=DATE:20180907
LOCATION:Wroclaw, Poland
DESCRIPTION:ICGI, which has been organized bi-annu
ally since early nineties, is the major forum for
presentation and discussion of original research p
apers on all aspects of grammatical inference. The
theme of ICGI 2018 will include theoretical and e
xperimental analysis of various models of grammati
cal inference and algorithms for induction of diff
erent classes of languages and automata. This year
we especially encourage submissions related to th
e domain of bioinformatics, which will be presente
d at a special joint session with the collocated P
olish Bionformatics Society symposium. The confir
med keynote speakers include: Colin de la Higuera
(Nantes), Johannes Söding (Goettingen), and Frits
Vaandrager (Nijmegen). We invite three types of p
apers: formal and/or technical papers describing o
 riginal solutions (theoretical, methodological or
 conceptual), exploratory papers describing complet
ely new research positions or approaches, and tool
papers describing a new tool for grammatical infe
rence. Additionally, you can present your work in
progress during a designated session of ICGI, and
attending a special session GI in Bioinformatics c
 onjoined with a poster exhibition.
