The 18th European Women in Mathematics General Meeting ; focuses on female mathematicians and their achie vements. As part of this event, the Mini-Symposium on Mathematical Logic concentrates on recent resu lts that demonstrate the fruitfulness of working a t the interface between different parts of logic - - that is, model theory, set theory, recursion (or computability) theory and proof theory -- or betw een logic and other areas of mathematics. Our spea kers therefore come from different fields of mathe matical logic and are interested in cross-connecti ons between their fields and areas of application such as topology, group theory, real geometry and combinatorics. For the general audience we are pla nning an introductory lecture on recent developmen ts in model theory and its applications to real ge ometry.

\nWe invite female researchers to apply for very short contributed talks (10-12 minu tes) at the Mini-Symposium. Also, application is n ow open for travel support for graduate students t o participate in the Mini-Symposium. We also encou rage female researchers to contribute posters to a thematic grouping on Mathematical Logic as part o f the EWM's poster session.
