SUMMARY:Workshop on Decision Theory & the Future o
 f Artificial Intelligence, Munich, Germany
DTSTART;VALUE=DATE:20180727
DTEND;VALUE=DATE:20180728
LOCATION:Munich, Germany
DESCRIPTION:This workshop will continue in the tra
dition established last year of bringing together
philosophers, decision theorists, and AI researche
rs in order to promote research at the nexus betwe
en decision theory and AI. Our plan for the second
installment is to make connections between decisi
on theory and burgeoning research programs that ma
y play a prominent role in the near future of the
discipline - e.g., quantum information theory, soc
ial network analysis, and causal inference. Confi
rmed Speakers Hans Briegel (University of Innsbruc
k), Tina Eliassi-Rad (Northeastern University), Do
minik Janzing  (Max Planck Institute - Tübingen),
Teresa Scantamburlo  (University of Bristol) and W
olfgang Spohn  (University of Konstanz). We invit
e submissions for contributed talks in the form of
a short abstract (up to 150 words) and an extende
d abstract (up to 1000 words) through the EasyChai
r submission system. The conference language is En
