DESCRIPTION:The Novembertagung on the History of M
 athematics is an annual international conference a
 imed at PhD and postdoctoral students (young schol
 ars) in the history of mathematics. In 2018 the No
 vembertagung will be held in Spain for the first t
 ime, at the Institute of Mathematics of the Univer
 sity of Seville (IMUS). The conference will commen
 ce on November 28th with a lunch reception; presen
 tations will then begin after lunch and continue t
 hroughout the next two days.  We encourage submiss
 ions that engage with historical considerations of
  key concepts in mathematics, as well as those tha
 t are guided by a conceptual approach to the histo
 ry and philosophy of mathematics. Abstracts, of ar
 ound 250 words, should be submitted by May 15th 20
 18. Please note that the theme serves as a guide, 
 not a criterion for exclusion, and as such it is n
 ot necessary for a submission to engage with the t
 heme to be accepted.
