The project aims to anal yse, from a historical and philosophical point of view, the development of modern set theory since t he introduction of the forcing technique. FPNC2018 is devoted to methodological approaches in the st udy of recent mathematics and focuses on the topic s of mathematical philosophy and mathematical prac tice. We welcome contributors to reflect on metho ds in mathematical philosophy and the study of ma thematical practice as well as their eventual appl icability to the study of modern set theory. We es pecially welcome contributions which discuss the v iability of the notion of "conceptual change" and "revolution" in the development of mathematics, in particular from the perspective of mathematical p ractice, or which discuss how to track changes in the development of mathematical knowledge and meth ods through the analysis of mathematical practices . Contributions do not have to tackle the forcing technique or set theory necessarily. Rather, the goal of the conference is to share insights from t he study of mathematical practices more generally, which eventually could become fruitful for the st udy of the development of the forcing technique. The first Forcing Project Networking Conference (FPNC2018) is the informal kick-off event of the Forcing Proj ect. The project aims to analyse, from a historica l and philosophical point of view, the development of modern set theory since the introduction of th e forcing technique. FPNC2018 is devoted to method ological approaches in the study of recent mathema tics and focuses on the topics of mathematical phi losophy and mathematical practice.
We welcome contributors to reflect on method s in mathematical philosophy and the study o f mathematical practice as well as their eventual applicability to the study of modern set theory. W e especially welcome contributions which discuss t he viability of the notion of "conceptual cha nge" and "revolution" in the develo pment of mathematics, in particular from the persp ective of mathematical practice, or which discuss how to track changes in the development of mathema tical knowledge and methods through the analysis o f mathematical practices.

Rather, the goal of the con ference is to share insights from the study of mat hematical practices more generally, which eventual ly could become fruitful for the study of the deve lopment of the forcing technique.
