SUMMARY:6th Workshop "What can FCA do for AI?" (FC
 A4AI 2018), Stockholm, Sweden
DTSTART;VALUE=DATE:20180713
DTEND;VALUE=DATE:20180713
LOCATION:Stockholm, Sweden
DESCRIPTION:Formal Concept Analysis (FCA) is a mat
hematically well-founded theory aimed at data anal
ysis and classification. FCA allows one to build a
concept lattice and a system of dependencies (imp
lications) which can be used for many AI needs, e.
 g. knowledge processing, knowledge discovery, know
ledge representation and reasoning, ontology engin
eering, as well as information retrieval, recommen
dation, social network analysis and text processin
 g. Thus, there exist many ``natural links'' betwee
n FCA and AI. The five preceding editions of the
FCA4AI Workshop  showed that many researchers work
ing in Artificial Intelligence are indeed interest
ed in a powerful method for classification and min
ing such as Formal Concept Analysis. This year, we
have the chance to organize a new edition of the
workshop in Stockholm co-located with the IJCAI 20
18 Conference. The workshop welcomes submissions
in pdf format in Springer's LNCS style. Submission
s can be technical papers not exceeding 12 pages,
or system descriptions or position papers on work
in progress not exceeding 6 pages. The workshop wi
ll include time for audience discussion toward dev
eloping a better understanding of the issues, chal
 lenges, and ideas being presented.
