DESCRIPTION:Abstract: We briefly introduce measur
ement based quantum computation (MBQC) and in part
icular the formalism of measurement patterns. This
is conveniently expressed in a graphical language
known as ZX-calculus. We proceed to impose certai
n determinism conditions on the measurement patter
ns which guarantee that the patterns are implement
able in practice. It turns out there are purely gr
aph-theoretic conditions corresponding to the dete
rminism conditions. The aim of the talk is to give
an exposition of this connection.
