 observations. These, too, have valid patterns that
  can be described using techniques from modern log
 ic. Finally, we discuss the foundational issue of 
 two complementary perspectives on logic: as a desc
 ription of laws about an unchanging reality, and a
 s a provider of forms of rational social activity.
