DESCRIPTION:The meeting “Quantum and Beyond” on 28
  and 29 April 2020, is devoted to recent logical a
 nd foundational investigations that have been insp
 ired by quantum theory. After the pioneering appro
 ach of Birkhoff and von Neumann in the Thirties, t
 he quantum theoretic formalism has suggested the d
 evelopment of new logical ideas that have been suc
 cessfully applied to different fields: fuzzy and e
 pistemic logics, quantum information and quantum c
 omputation theories, semantics of natural and arti
 stic languages, pattern recognition and machine le
 arning, cognitive sciences.
