DTSTART;VALUE=DATE:20230124
DTEND;VALUE=DATE:20230124
LOCATION:Online
DESCRIPTION:Reasoning about causal relationships i
s an important theme throughout science. The Nobel
Prize in Economics was awarded last year to Guido
Imbens and Joshua Angrist, for their role in the
development of methods to investigate how research
ers understand and analyze causal relationships. T
his webinar, which the Academy organizes together
with the Association for Logic (VvL), brings toget
her various experts in the field of reasoning abou
t causality from different disciplines. Speakers:
Guido Imbens, Sara Magliacane, Thomas Icard and K
atrin Schulz. The evening will be chaired by Rinek
e Verbrugge, professor of logic and cognition at t
