DESCRIPTION:This time our classmates, Matteo and J
osje, will present Panu Raatikainen’s Conceptions
of truth in intuitionism. We often summarize the
intuitionist notion of truth as “truth as provabil
ity”, which marks a fundamental difference with th
e classical logicians. But in doing so, we overloo
k the fact that there are multiple competing conce
ptions of truth within intuitionism itself. Raatik
ainen presents a systematic overview of these diff
erent accounts, ranging from actualist to possibil
ist, and ultimately offers a critique of each, put
ting in question about the coherence of the intuit
 ionist framework as a whole.
