DESCRIPTION:After having focused for years on issu
es related to knowledge, beliefs and action in rat
ional decision making, many logicians have recentl
y taken the natural next step to the study of pref
erences and intentions, including the dynamics of
how they change. By doing so logic approaches othe
r well-established areas of research, ranging from
Bayesian epistemology to action, decision and gam
e theory. This 15th edition of the well-known se
ries of workshops Games, Logic, Language, and Comp
utation will bring together logicians, philosopher
s, computer scientists, and economists to share th
eir expertise, find unifying themes and methods, a
nd create a new interdisciplinary research network
. The workshop will be hosted by the Institute f
or Logic, Language and Computation of the Universi
teit van Amsterdam, on the 26, 27 and 28 of Februa
y 2008. The workshop will also coincide with the P
hD defenses of Fenrong Liu (Beijing) and Olivier R
oy (Quebec), on February 26. For more informati
