DESCRIPTION:The workshop brings together a number 
 of research groups working on annotated corpora an
 d their linguistic exploitation. The common emphas
 is is on semantically relevant, 'deep' annotation 
 (in the form of dependency structures, type struct
 ures, ...) in addition to purely syntactic informa
 tion. The annotation approach taken in the CGN (Sp
 oken Dutch Corpus) project is compared with that o
 f the visiting groups.  The workshop is supported
