This ESSLLI-2011 workshop is organized and financially\ n supported by the ESF research networking pr ogramme INFTY (New\n frontiers of infinity: m athematical, philosophical, and\n computation al prospects). The ESF network INFTY aims (among\n other things) at embedding set theory in the wider scope of\n modern logic and its applic ations, as represented at the ESSLLI\n school s.\n

\n\n This workshop is
funded and organized by INFTY in order to:

* Present the lively and active research ar
ea of set theory to\n a broader audience
of logicians;

\n * Allow junior members
of the set-theory community to present\n
their research at an ESSLLI school in order to en
courage\n them to interact with the broad
er logic community;

\n * Offer logic st
udents an overview of the current research\n
* trends in set theory.\n
