DESCRIPTION:Collective decision-making problems ar
ise when a set of individual agents need to make a
choice over a set of common alternatives. A centr
al problem in the study of these situations is tha
t of aggregating individual expressions, such as p
references, judgments and beliefs, into a collecti
ve view, to obtain a summary of the individual vie
ws provided. Several frameworks have been develope
d to study this problem, by both the community of
Social Choice Theory and the community of Artifici
al Intelligence. This workshop aims at bringing to
gether scholars from diverse research areas to obt
ain a state-of-the-art survey of current research
on frameworks for multi-agent aggregation. The wor
kshop is co-located with the PhD defense of Umbert
o Grandi which will take place in the Agnietenkape
l of the University of Amsterdam on September 25th
at 10:00 am. For more information, see http://s
