DESCRIPTION:SMART Cognitive Science is an initiati
 ve of the Faculty of Humanities of the University 
 of Amsterdam to provide a forum for the discussion
 s highlighting the important contributions to cogn
 itive science from traditional humanities discipli
 nes. SMART is an acronym for Speech & language, Mu
 sic, Art, Reasoning & Thought. The SMART Cognitive
  Science International Conference will consist of 
 three plenary evening lectures and six 2-day works
 hops devoted to the topics on the intersection of 
 humanities and cognitive science.   For more infor

 very researcher holding a PhD degree in the Facult
 y of Humanities at the University of Amsterdam is 
 invited to submit a workshop proposal. We invite p
 roposals in all areas of humanities and cognitive 
 science but cross-disciplinary and innovative topi
 cs are particularly encouraged. Deadline for submi
 ssions: March 1st 2014.
