DESCRIPTION:In the spring of 2016 Prof. Albert Vis
 ser (Philosophy) will retire. He has been a profes
 sor in Logic and the Foundations of Mathematics at
  Utrecht University for more than a decade. Since 
 September 2015 he is also a Faculty Professor at t
 he Faculty of Humanities. There will be two days o
 f celebrations in honour of his long and distingui
 shed career. Registration is now open.  There are 
 two events. On 22 April there will be a workshop d
 edicated to his scientific work, with speakers fro
 m the various areas that Visser has contributed to
 . This event will take place in the Kanunnikenzaal
  of the University Hall (Academiegebouw).  On 25 A
 pril there will be an afternoon of celebratory spe
 eches by colleagues (starting at 13:00), followed 
 by Albert's retirement speech in the Auditorium of
  the University Hall and a reception. The valedict
 ory lecture of Prof. Visser will be at 16:00.  For
