DESCRIPTION:This year marks the 100th anniversary 
 of the birth of Adriaan van Wijngaarden (1916-1987
 ), founder of computer science in the Netherlands 
 and former director of CWI. 2016 is also the 70th 
 founding anniversary of CWI.   We will celebrate t
 hese occasions with a special programme in honour 
 of Adriaan van Wijngaarden and his legacy. Several
  internationally renowned speakers will explore th
 e legacy of Van Wijngaarden in both mathematics an
 d computer science.
