DESCRIPTION:The Department of Philosophy at Hokkai
 do University (Sapporo, Japan) will hold a two-wee
 k summer school in dynamic epistemic logic and its
  applications, jointly with three guest lecturers 
 from ILLC (University of Amsterdam) as part of Hok
 kaido Summer Institute (HSI) 2017.  The following 
 two intensive courses are scheduled to be offered 
 during the summer school:  Course 1 (August 14 to 
 August 18): Introduction to Logic,  main lecturer:
  Katsuhiko Sano (Department of Philosophy, Hokkaid
 o University).  Course 2 (August 21 to August 25):
  Dynamic Epistemic Logic, main lecturers: Alexandr
 u Baltag and Sonja Smets (ILLC, University of Amst
 erdam).  There will be a special live on-line lect
 ure by Johan van Benthem (University of Amsterdam,
  Stanford University, and Tsinghua University) dur
 ing Course 2.  Application period for students fro
 m universities other than Hokkaido University is f
 rom February 1 to February 28 2017.
