SUMMARY:Algebraic and Topological Methods in Non-C
 lassical Logics II, Barcelona, Spain
DTSTART;VALUE=DATE:20050615
DTEND;VALUE=DATE:20050618
LOCATION:Barcelona, Spain
DESCRIPTION:This meeting shares the goals of the T
bilisi conference with the same title, held in Jul
y 2003, as well as those of the Patras conference
on many-valued logics and residuated structures, h
eld in June 2004. In recent years the interest in
non-classical logics has been growing. Motivation
s from computer science, natural language reasonin
g and linguistics have played a significant role i
n this development. The semantic study of non-clas
sical logics is a field where no single overarchin
g paradigm has been established, and where a varie
ty of techniques are currently being explored. An
important goal of this meeting is to promote the c
ross-fertilization between the fundamental ideas c
onnected with these approaches. Thus, we aim to br
ing together researchers from various fields of no
n-classical logics and applications, as well as fr
om lattice theory, universal algebra, category the
ory and general topology, in order to foster colla
boration and further research. For more informati
on, an online registration form and a preliminary
 program, see http://www.mat.ub.es/~logica/meeting2
 005/.
