DESCRIPTION:On Monday, 1 October 2012 the Faculty 
 of Science, together with Bureau Kennistransfer (B
 KT) organizes a meeting to introduce the new Europ
 ean Framework Programme for Research and Technolog
 ical Development: Horizon2020. The meeting will be
  organized for everybody involved in Research in t
 he Faculty and at the Science Park and will be mod
 erated by Dr Sean McCarthy, expert on European Res
 earch Programmes.  Horizon2020 follows the 7th Fra
 mework Programme (FP7), which ends in 2013. Horizo
 n2020 will start on 1 January 2014, with a total b
 udget of around 80 billion euro. The programme has
  a duration of 7 years and will determine to a hig
 h extend the research agenda in Europe and thus Th
 e Netherlands. Given that ILLC aims for greater pa
 rticipation in EU projects, all ILLC staff members
  (including ILLC staff from the Faculty of Humanit
 ies) are urged to attend this meeting.  For more i
