Postdoctoral position in Theoretical Computer Science,
University of Chile

A postdoctoral fellowship in Discrete Mathematics or Theoretical Computer Science will be available at the University of Chile (Santiago) starting in July, 2006, or by mutual agreement from any date thereafter. We are looking for applicants from all areas of Discrete Mathematics and Theoretical Computer Science e.g., algorithms, complexity theory, graph theory, networks, approximation and online algorithms, probabilistic combinatorics, computational biology, etc.

The selected candidate will work closely with the discrete mathematics group involved in project "Anillo en Redes" (see http://dim.uchile.cl/~redes/ for more information), and is expected to devote fully to research. The group consists of young researchers who collaborate with several of the major research institutions in Europe and the U.S. The group's working language is English.

The appointment will be made for a period between 6 and 18 months and the monthly salary will be around US 2.200. There is also travel support available.
