Postdoc Position in Unsupervised Data-Oriented Parsing (3 years)

The Institute for Logic, Language and Computation (ILLC) of the University of Amsterdam has a vacancy for a full-time Postdoc position in Computational Linguistics, on Unsupervised Data-Oriented Parsing. The position is part of the NWO-funded Vici-program 'Unsupervised Learning with the DOP Model', which will consist of 6 researchers.

We are currently looking for a postdoctoral researcher interested in working on Unsupervised Data-Oriented Parsing (U-DOP) from a computational, cognitive or linguistic approach. Candidates who can combine the three approaches are especially encouraged to apply. The successful candidate must have a PhD in linguistics, computer science, cognitive science or artificial intelligence, and should have excellence in research evidenced by publications in international journals and/or conference proceedings.

The appointment will be for a period of three years, and could start as soon as possible. The gross monthly salary will be in accordance with University regulations for academic personnel, and will be minimally Euro 3060 and maximally Euro 4190 per month. Social benefits (pension funds, vacation allowance and partial medical insurance cost) are provided as common at Dutch Universities.
