The 1996 Spinoza Awards

Johan van Benthem receives one of the Spinoza Awards 96 , 10/10/96, De ronde Lutherse Kerk, Amsterdam
In October 1996 Johan van Benthem, professor of mathematical logic at the University of Amsterdam, was awarded one of the Spinoza prizes (2 mln hfl) by the National Dutch Organisation for Research (NWO), making possible the Logic in Action project. The other two prize winners in 1996 were Prof.dr. P. Nijkamp (professor in regional economics and economical geography, Free University in Amsterdam) and Prof.dr. G.A. Sawatzky (professor in material physics, State University Groningen)
