We are delighted to announce that a paper on computational social choice authored by Marie Christin Schmidtlein and Ulle Endriss was selected as the runner-up for the Best Paper Award at the 22nd International Conference on Autonomous Agents and Multiagent Systems (AAMAS), which took place in London in early June. AAMAS is the leading conference in the area of multiagent systems and this year attracted over 1,000 paper submissions. The paper is based on Marie's MSc Logic thesis, defended at the ILLC in June 2022. It develops a new approach to collective decision making from first principles. You can read it at https://www.ifaamas.org/Proceedings/aamas2023/pdfs/p2067.pdf.
