Scientific coordinator position for CIPSH Chair on "Diversity of Mathematical Research Cultures & Practices", Hamburg (Germany)
The main responsibilities of the appointee are research and teaching, in particular, the scientific coordination of the CIPSH Chair Diversity of Mathematical Research Cultures and Practices (DMRCP), a cooperation between the Faculty for Mathematics, Informatics, and Natural Sciences at the Universität Hamburg and International de Philosophie et des Sciences Humaines (CIPSH). DMRCP is a global research network of researchers from many disciplines (e.g., philosophy, sociology, mathematics education, history of mathematics, cognitive psychology) working on mathematical research cultures and practices using multidisciplinary approaches.
The tasks of the appointee include
(1) active participation in the research activities of the network,
(2) the coordination of the network, including application for external funding, activity reports, and organisation of scientific events such as lecture series, workshops, summer schools or conferences,
(3) teaching three hours per week during term time (30 weeks per year)
