PhD candidate Xiaoyu Tong will defend her thesis "Dissecting Incongruity: Metaphor and Humor Understanding of Large Language Models" at Aula UvA on 3 July. It will be preceded by a mini-workshop at LAB42 on 2 July, featuring talks by Pia Sommerauer from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and Desmond Elliott from University of Copenhagen.
