Title: Cognitive systems in evolution and development

There are strong
commonalities in human and non-human primate cognitive organisation. This
similarity is the (inevitable) outcome of an adaptive economy principle
governing the selection of actions and procedures beyond 'brute force'
environmental arbitration and designed to secure the most powerful adaptations
for the least investment in resource.
