W3 Professorship in Philosophy, Computer Science, & AI, Bayreuth (Germany)

The University of Bayreuth is a research-oriented university with internationally competitive, interdisciplinary focus areas in research and teaching. The Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences at the University of Bayreuth is currently seeking to appoint a Full Professor of Philosophy, Computer Science & Artificial Intelligence at pay grade W 3 (minimum gross salary per month: 7,217 euros) to commence as soon as possible. This is a permanent civil service position.

The successful applicant will have an outstanding research track-record including top-ranked publications at the intersection of philosophy, computer science, and artificial intelligence. The successful applicant will be involved in the Philosophy & Economics B.A. and M.A. programmes and in the Computer Science programmes. The successful applicant will be expected to contribute to the development of a joint study programme at the intersection of philosophy and computer science. The ability to teach in English is required.
